Reviews & features
...Perhaps, in their paean to canals, these two wacky, counter-cultural women really have captured something of the Zeitgeist. Coolness isn't a fast car any more. It isn't a crowded cocktail bar. It certainly isn't a Caribbean beach, rubber-necking at celebrities. It is knowing when to slow down, take time out, commune with nature, savour pleasures too precious to be rushed. ”

“...this original and imaginative introduction to Britain's canal network is packed with ideas for inspiring days out.”

All our books are printed on FSC paper using 100% vegetable-based inks, and are printed and bound in the UK by Butler Tanner & Dennis, Frome, Somerset
Cool Canals is printed using 100% vegetable-based inks on Condat Silk FSC paper, produced from 100% Elemental Chlorine Free (EFC) pulp that is fully recyclable. It has a Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certification and is fully manufactured on one site by Condat in France, an ISO14001 accredited company. All FSC certified papers are produced by companies who support well-managed forestry schemes which in turn actively plant and replace trees that are cut down for pulp, typically planting more trees than are harvested. Butler Tanner & Dennis are also fully ISO14001 accredited and, by both printing and binding on one site, dramatically reduce their impact on the environment.
